Working with not for profit organizations

Not for profit organizations

At IT Solutions Team our engineers have a soft spot for children, elderly, Religious, Educational, charitable, scientific, literary, Public Safety, National or International amateur sports competition, pets, fraternal societies, or just about any organization that has is registered as a 501(c).

We understand that the many of these institutions have tight or limited budgets in general and especially when it comes to their IT or computer systems.

In January of 2017, NBC.com published a story of hackers. This excerpt from the story demonstrates the need for Firewalls:

Cybercriminals are stealing data at an alarming rate. Both the number of breaches and the number of files stolen globally in these hacks rose dramatically to set a new record in 2016, according to a new report from Risk Based Security. The 4,149 confirmed breaches exposed more than 4.2 billion records. That’s approximately 3.2 billion more records than were exposed in 2013, the previous all-time high.

Businesses were the prime targets, with more than half (55 percent) of the reported breaches. But hackers also attacked medical institutions and government agencies.

When we talk with not for profits they often express that their donor information is one of their most valued assets. We help our not for profit partners secure their data. We  work with Watchgaurd to install Firewalls that have rules that limit what website employees can can access, and more importantly protect the internal data from hackers.

With a Wathcguard firewall we are able to offer not for profit institutions  discounts on the hardware and software licenses and in turn we offer discounted pricing for our educational partners.

Our team at IT Solutions Team also understands the importance of valid licensing.  We work with vendors such as Microsoft and Adobe to obtain discounted software licenses for  your 501(C) making sure that your organization has legal not pirated licenses for all of your computers.

Our team also realizes the importance of keeping your 501(C) computers working, with virtual tools we are able to access the  computers remotely after hours and make sure your virus and malware software definition files are up to date and the 501(C) computers are virus free.

Our tools offer our engineers the ability to remotely access your computers and install the latest software updates, and when necessary reinstall complete operating systems. We also work with 501(C)’s on data backup to be sure your donor information is safe and will not be lost because of a hard drive failure.

Our team at IT Solutions Team works with your 501(C) team so you can spend less time worrying your computers and spend more time taking care of people or pets that you dedicate your professional life to.
